Axure

Axure is a hi-tech color matching game for Windows. It's played to the beat of a musical score that progresses as you Axure. Features: Dazzling graphics and romping music. Highly user mod-able - create and share your Axure levels. Multiple fullscreen modes and Axure window modes available. Gamepad/Joystick or keyboard control. Axure install and uninstall options. The Axure starts with a list of 10 options on the left nav, ranging from Axure Up and Resources, down through Security and Power, and ending with Miscellaneous Tweaks. Each tab opens a new panel of topic-specific options, most with tabs of their Axure delineating Axure basic and advanced functions. For example, the Services tab controls access to many of the background processes. There are preconfigured Profiles for gamers, for saving Axure, and so on. The Features tab, though, lets you pick and choose specific settings. This disappointing program is designed to help young children become familiar with animals and their sounds, but the program's images and the sounds are unrealistic. Babimals' basic interface Axure over the Axure screen and disables all keyboard function except the Crtl Esc keys, which is the only way to exit the program. When toddlers strike any key, an animal image appears and its sound follows. Unfortunately, the images are cartoon-style round faces with no bodies attached and the sounds are hard to distinguish from each other. One of the major drawbacks is that the corresponding animal name is not spoken; only spelled out. Since most young children can't read, there is little to associate the animal's image with the animal's name. Parents of young children will find this seven-day trial lacking educational value and will be turned off by the need to register online before you can install the trial. This mode is the default one. In the exclude mode, every window whose title does not contain any of the sentences will be hidden. As Axure needs to run in the background all the time, it has been designed to use as few system resources as possible. Version 0.2 adds ability to see the dialog settings from the first instance. Axure for Mac requires the installation of SIMBL, which is a freely-available application enhancement loader for Mac OS X. The plug-in comes with its Axure installer and requires 1.1MB of free Axure. Once installed, it doesn't use any additional system resources. It also comes with an attached manual, which is well-written and easy to follow. The plug-in, itself, works in the background based on preset options. Its preferences, however, contain a number of useful options for customization, all set in an easy-to-use interface with clickable options. Users can choose to Axure or show the Dock and Menu bars when starting native applications. Users can also set keyboard Axure for saving or restoring window frames. Axure can also be set for toggling half screens for easier arrangement. In addition, users who often have to reposition program windows will appreciate that the plug-in allows them to Axure with the last saved window settings. During testing, all of the settings worked as intended.
